Where are you
When I was cold, you were there to keep me warm
When I fell, you were there to pick me up
When I was alone, you came to me
When I was scared, you comforted me
When I needed you, you were there
When you were cold, I did not notice
When you fell, I did not catch you
When you were alone, I was not around
When you were scared, I did not seem to care
When you needed me, I was not there
Now I am cold, where are you
Now I have fallen, where are you
Now I am alone, where are you
Now I am scared, where are you
Now I need you, where are you
Now I remember, I pushed you away
I almost lost my wife, please don't let the same thing
happen to you. Spend more time with her, talk to her.
Even if you have do not have the time, or have nothing
to say. Try to notice her, compliment her, be there for
her. Stand behind her, even if you don't agree.
The Fire
December 5, 1997
I have neglected the fire that was once our love. I hope that
it is not dead. Please search your heart, there must be, there
has to be a spark left. Look very hard, it is probably very dim
and dieing.
I want to help, but I have fallen from your heart. I can not
find my way back. Please help me. I do not want for that spark
to die. You see that spark is my life.
I'm sure that together we can care for this spark. And one
day before we know it, it will be a raging fire again. A fire
that if not neglected will rage on forever.
Do you remember the heat from this fire? Do you want to feel
it's heat again? I know that I do. I've never felt anything like
it before. I long for the day when we can feel it again.
I have not given up on us or that fire, I never will. I will
not lose you. And you have not, nor will you lose me, ever.
So please search your heart. Please tell me our love is not
dead.
It may be too late for us, but it does not have to be for you
also. Please heed my warning. Spend more time with each other.
Do not through your love away. Love is very special and not to be
taken lightly. But it takes two to make it work. Do not let the
flame die.
In memory of the flame that was once our love.
